All of the stars.
Staring down at Toothiana’s body, the frost which he controlled slowly started to crawl inside of him, up his body and into his chest. And then, finally it encased his heart in a fortress of ice. Everything he fought for. Everything he loved…Was gone. This wasn’t supposed to be happening. No, Tooth couldn’t die. She was the tooth fairy. She was one of the guardians, somebody who brought joy to the children of the world. Sure, they were currently caught within a war but she was supposed to survive. She was supposed to be the one who brought the magic back. Not him…Her.
Falling onto his knees, he picked up his little fairy with trembling hands. The tears in his eyes were unable to fall- turning to ice before even getting the chance to exist. With every beat of his heart, it hurt more. Reminding him that now, he was well and truly alone. Slowly, he pushed her blonde curls behind her ear, resting his forehead against hers and allowed the silence to embrace the two departed lovers.
The pain and anguish built up inside of him until finally it escaped in an agonising howl for all of those around to hear, his power exploding from his body and freezing all those who dare to come close. The nature, the foliage…All of it. He shook his head over and over, sobbing and repeating her name over and over. The loneliness tried to comfort him, offering him gentle whispers of reassurance that fell on deaf ears.
Gently placing her down onto the ground again, Jack held up his own trembling hands, making a large icicle, sharp enough to kill a man…Holding it up into the air, he watched as the moonlight illuminated off the clear ice, the damn moon. It had taken everything from him…But not this. Never this.
The icicle sliced through the air, going straight through the man's heart. The two lovers reunited once more.
