Millie’s life was interesting, to say the least. But, she wouldn’t change it for the world. Once upon a time, she might have. But now? No- she spent her life helping people…Saving them from awful domestic situations even if it meant…Using more dangerous and violent means. She had already gone to jail once. But, she had never returned- not since becoming a…Housemaid that offered other benefits. That was how she had ended up with this current position.
Millie had taken up a position as a housemaid within one of the Fae households. Tamlin to be precise. It was odd, a human within the Fae realm. But, he seemed to have trusted her- and she even wore the mask out of respect, so she could fully fit in. It had been working, she had been scoping out the Fae world- learning where the real dangers lie…And that was when Feyre ended up at her feet.
She had killed one of the Fae. And, to keep her life, she gave it to the golden-haired male. A decision she could only assume didn’t come lightly. In contrast, Millie had chosen on her own accord to remain here. Feyre had been forced. And, Millie could tell from the moment her eyes landed on the brunette woman that this wouldn’t be an easy feat. The woman would want out. And Millie would try and help her with that. After all, she worked for Tamlin…She knew the truth.
Knocking on the girl’s door, she waited patiently for a moment before opening it, ducking in time for the makeshift trap to go right over her. “Nice technique…” Millie offered, admiring the work before taking a step closer to Feyre, holding up her hands when she saw the hostility. “Hold up, I’m one of your kind. I’m human.” She insisted, removing the mask she wore to show off her features. “See? I’m not the enemy…I’m on your side.” She finished, letting a soft breath escape her lips before observing the other woman- taking her in. She looked sick, and malnourished. But, she could tell she had the body of a fighter. “What brought you here?” Millie asked, deciding it was best this girl told her the story other than the one Tamlin had offered up.
